Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai, India,[4] Pichai received his bachelor's degree at IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. He was awarded an M.S. in the United States following his move to the United States. He earned a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also obtained an MBA from Wharton School of Pennsylvania. Following a brief stint at McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. He was responsible for the development of Google Drive and was also responsible for innovation and product management. In addition, he went on to oversee the development of other apps like Gmail as well as Google Maps. Pichai made public in 2010 that Google had made the open-source video codec VP8 and also announced WebM as a brand-new video format. The Chromebook was launched in 2012. In 2013 Pichai included Android to the list of Google products that he was responsible for.
