Lee
Lee Roy Selmon blends the benefits of a football scholarship within his home with the benefits of community service. His family's first name is Selmon is the eldest of nine kids raised within Eufala with Lucious Selmon. Also, he was one of three siblings who represented Oklahoma on the field of football. The three brothers were all All-America. In 1973, Lee Roy and Lucious Jr. Dewey were the starters for one year. Lee Roy has won both the Outland Award and the Lombardi award as the top lineman in America. In three years, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 with Roy serving as their starting line-up. They also won the national title twice. As an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was awarded the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his third time in the year 1975. Selmon earned his diploma in education. Fourth service In the university Lee Roy devoted ten hours each week on volunteer work. After graduation, he moved in Tampa and played nine years with Tampa's Buccaneers. He made the All-Pro three times. He then began his career. He was hired in 1988 as an Account Relation Officer for Tampa's First Florida Bank. He was also a part of the following groups: Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It's no wonder that The Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as one of the top 10 young people in America. Lee Roy was 6'2" tall and weighed 265lbs in the time he played football at college. In 1975, he was the captain of the group. He joined University of South Florida in 1993, as Associate Director of Sports. He was named to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988 the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994, and then the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. The Selmons' parents Lucious and Mary Selmon Jr. were awarded the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation. Henry Bellmon is the Oklahoma governor that made the award.
